This project was born out of my apprehension about the disappearance of the village where I grew up. Reflection on the physical and economic territory was a choice stimulated, and now documented, by the visual evidence of deceleration, abandonment and decay, which is demonstrated by the peculiarities of everyday life. It’s a quiet village without much progress or ambition, which is why the younger generations tend to leave. In this way, it is clear that the discourse of the images in the project (photo-book) wanders between antagonistic fields, such as abandonment, destruction and attempts at conservation.
