The Cityscopio cultural association develops a work around obtaining support and diverse resources – applications, consulting, editorial and event organization – for culture and investigation areas. A big part of its initiatives are connected with the universe of art, architecture and image – publications, conferences, workshops and other events – as well as investigation in art, architecture and design, being FAUP and U.Porto spaces that often serve as a stage of their actions, existing a significant work relation with the research group Arquitetura, Arte e Imagem (AAI) situated at Casa Cor de Rosa in FAUP (Faculty of Architecture – University of Porto). The nuclear team is built upon people connected to different teaching institutions and liberal activities.

Created in 1994, the center of architecture and urbanism studies (CEAU) constitutes, statutorily, the center I&D from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP), respective institution of reception, also integrating another investigation and development unit (EAT‐Norte‐145) funded and evaluated by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT).
