There’s a light that blinds me. It enters me and takes hold. It’s visceral and concrete. It looks me in the eye. It doesn’t speak to me, but it calls. Where am I if not in the photographs that surround me? Where am I if not in these pieces of moments? Where is my life if not in these places?
Photography has an almost umbilical relationship with memory and companionship. The passage of time shapes the power of the photographic artefact, of printed paper and the value of the stories it has to tell.
A group of students from a senior university allow us to discover their relationship with photography and how it impacts their lives. They let us into their university every week, and sometimes into their homes, to get to know their photographs, their value and the reason for that value.
